About Me
I have always had a desire to make things with my hands. As a child, before I was able to make my own projects, I would help my Grandma in her "tool shed," where she would make whimsical birdhouses. As I got older, with her help, I started making my own birdhouses and that was my first foray into woodworking.
In high school, I was fortunate enough to have a great shop space and instructor, Bill Lucas, who took the time to explain the numerous aspects of woodworking. I was able to experience everything from sawing logs, drying lumber and building quality furniture. It was at this point that I really gained an appreciation for quality, beautiful wood and the process of creating something unique.
After college, I followed a dream and left my hometown of Richmond, VA and moved to Warren, ME to pursue a career at Lie-Nielsen Toolworks. I spent five years immersing myself in woodworking tools and projects. Fast forward to present day and my fascination for wood has continued and I still work within the industry.
On my days off, I try to spend as much time in the shop working with my hands making furniture and bowls while also adding in a few honey-do projects along the way. Over the years, I have focused on honing my craft. I’m still reminded of the beginning where one of my Grandma’s whimsical birdhouses still hangs on the dogwood tree in front of the shop.
I would love the privilege of creating something beautiful for you and your family.
